Meet the instructors

Meet the folks who make it all happen. We see big potential in every moment and care deeply about what we do every day. We only provide instructors who have a teaching/instructing qualification, are current registered healthcare professionals or are First Aid Instructors. 
Our instructors reflect a group of highly trained and experienced individuals with breadth and depth of knowledge in the resuscitation and first aid specialism. 

Maria

Founder, Owner, Business Manager and Lead Instructor for Complete First Aid Training, CPRforLIFE and the CPR4Schools Project

Maria is the Owner and Founder of both Complete First Aid Training (First Aid courses) and CPR for Life (Specialist Resuscitation Training for Healthcare Professionals and the public). She is a current NHS Resuscitation and Simulation Manager and Head of Professional Education and is a registered Paramedic with the HCPC for over 17 years. Marias teaching qualifications include a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education. 
Maria is a Resuscitation Council (UK) Advanced Life Support and Immediate Life Support Course Director and Instructor. She is also an Advanced Paediatric Life Support instructor for the Advanced Life Support Group. Maria teaches regularly on the Pre-Hospital Paediatric Life Support course for the military and teaches Newborn Life support and Intra-osseous for Doctors working in resource poor locations abroad and recently went to the Netherlands to help with Paediatric Life Support teaching and simulation in one of their childrens hospitals. She is currently on an International Project Board for the UK for 'Beyond the Cardiac Arrest'.
Maria has commenced with the CPR4Schools project aiming to empower children of all ages with awareness and education surrounding emergency first aid and CPR. 

sarah

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Sarah has been a registered Paramedic with the HCPC for over 20 years, curently working for the London Ambulance Service as a solo responder and crew. Sarah has undertaken many teaching sessions in both First Aid and CPR for schools in West Sussex and is a key role within the CPR 4 Schools project. Sarah also volunteers as a Community First Responder for SECAMB.

Kerri

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Kerri is a current NHS Resuscitation and Simulation Officer and has a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. She has been a registered Paramedic with the HCPC for over 6 years. Kerri is a Resuscitation Council UK Advanced Life and Immediate Life Support instructor and an Advanced Paediatric Life Support Instructor for the Advanced Life Support Group. Kerri regularly teaches clinicians of all levels and has undertaken First Aid awareness to school children in Gloucestershire. 

Felicity

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Felicity has been a registered nurse since 2003 currently working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the Acute Care Response Team for NHS. Her clinical background has been in ITU and A&E. Felicity is currently completing her Masters in Advanced Practice and is a Resuscitation Council UK Advanced Life Support and Immediate Life Support Instructor. Felicity directs and teaches on the 'The Acutely Unwell and Deteriorating Patient' course to band 2's within the NHS trust.

Vinnie

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Vinnie is a an instructor in Emergency Life Support and is a National Lead Taser instructor for the Police. He is a First Aid at work instructor and trained in Ballistic Emergency Life Support. Vinnie has been teaching for many years and holds a PTLLS teaching qualification. Vinnie is part of the CPR 4 Schools team and a key instructor for First Aid courses. 

Hannah

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Hannah is an NHS Resuscitation Officer and a current Registered Paediatric Nurse with the NMC for over 6 years. Hannah's clinical background has been with HDU for Paediatrics and regularly undertakes Simulation training for all levels of clinicians within Paeds. She has a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and is a Resuscitation Council (UK) Advanced and Immediate Life Support Instructor. Hannah also instructs on the Advanced Paediatric Life Support course for the Advanced Life Support Group UK. She is very passionate about training and improving the knowledge and confidence of those undertaking resuscitation training. Hannah also undertakes training within the CPR4Schools project.

Claire

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Claire has been a registered Nurse with the NMC for the past 16 years. She has worked mostly in and around critical care environments such as ICU, Cardiac ICU, Theatres and Coronary Care both in the UK and Australia. Claire is currently an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Acute Care Response Team within the NHS. Responding to the most unwell and deteriorating patients who may require escalation of their care to a more suitable environment such as ICU. Also responding to resuscitation/trauma/medical emergency calls. Claire is an Advanced Life Support Provider and a Non-Medical Prescriber. 
Claire undertakes a wide rage of teaching and delivers presentations to respiritory study days. Claire has also taught in schools undertaking basic skills for children. 

Becky

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Becky has been a HCPC registered Paramedic since 2010 and is a Practice Placement Educator and also works within Rapid Response. Becky has a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and is part of the training dept teaching paramedics and students all mandatory training including advanced life support in adults and paediatrics and wrote a trust wide New born life support module for an NHS Trust. Becky is currently working towards a masters in advanced practice and a masters in simulation, patient safety and human factors. 
She has been involved in teaching teenagers life support in secondary schools and alongside the police delivering ‘street first aid’ to young offenders for which the team won the NHS 70 awards for collaborative working. She was also part of a team that were nominated for an award for collaborative working with midwives for the patient safety awards delivering training to paramedics on emergency obstetrics

Jo

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Jo qualified as a registered Nurse in 1996 and has recently completed her MSc in Advanced Practice. She currently work as a Consultant Nurse & Senior Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and is a non medical prescriber within the NHS.

Jo is a Resuscitation Council (UK) Newborn Life Support Instructor and an Advanced Resuscitation of the Newborn Infant provider. She also teaches on the Critical Care of the Newborn course for University of the West of England and teaches neonatal resuscitation for the maternity and neonatal unit mandatory study days within the NHS.

Janice

Self Employed Freelance Instructor

Janice is a Resuscitation Officer for the NHS having been a registered nurse since 1989 and registered sick children's nurse since 1991. Janice has over 20 years experience in ED as a Paediatric specialist nurse, emergency nurse practitioner and ED Senior Sister. Janice is a Resuscitation Council (UK) Instructor and course director and Advanced Paediatric Life support instructor for the Advanced Life Support Group UK. Janice had also taught internationally and is currently undertaking a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education.
